How is Payonite different from regular on/off-ramp providers?

Traditional providers offer one set of fees, assets, and jurisdictions.
Payonite’s proprietary SMART routing engine aggregates multiple providers and automatically selects the best one per transaction, based on fees, asset availability, risk rules, supported countries, and more.

Is Payonite a payment gateway or a custodian?

No. Payonite is not a payment gateway and not a custodian.
We provide infrastructure, not financial custody. All funds are processed and settled through regulated, licensed partners.

Who is Payonite built for?
  • Any business needing crypto ↔ fiat flows

  • Exchanges

  • Wallets

  • Fintechs

  • Payment platforms

  • PSPs

  • Marketplaces

  • DApps

Does Payonite support both retail (B2C) and business (B2B) flows?

Our core model is B2B, powering your users’ transactions through your interface.
We do not offer direct-to-consumer retail services at this time.

On/Off-Ramp Questions

Which currencies do you support?

We aggregate multiple regulated providers, each with different asset lists - allowing access to hundreds of fiat and crypto pairs globally.
(Full list available in the “Supported Currencies” section.)

Which countries do you support?

Coverage depends on each partner’s licensing & risk rules.
Our aggregation allows access to the broadest combined coverage of any single provider.
(Full list available in the “Supported Countries” section.)

How does your SMART routing engine work?

The engine evaluates all available providers in real time based on:

  • Fee levels

  • Spread

  • Liquidity

  • Supported networks

  • Country/regional restrictions

  • KYC/KYB requirements

  • Risk scoring

  • Settlement expectations

The system then selects the optimal provider for that specific transaction.

Do you support fiat → crypto and Crypto → Fiat?

Yes - Payonite fully supports both directions:

  • Fiat → Crypto: cards, bank transfers, EMI accounts

  • Crypto → Fiat: payouts, settlements, EMI rails

Compliance & Security Questions

Do you provide KYC/KYB?

Yes. Payonite offers Hosted KYB/KYC for businesses.
We collect the data once and route it to the selected provider as needed.

Is Payonite regulated?

Payonite operates as a technology provider, while all financial flows are executed by fully regulated EMIs, VASPs, MSBs, and global ramp partners.
This ensures compliance is handled by the appropriate licensed entities.

Who holds the funds?

Funds are never held by Payonite.
They are always processed and settled directly by our regulated partners.

Is Payonite secure?

Yes - our infrastructure is built with:

  • ISO/SOC-grade security controls

  • Data encryption at rest and in transit

  • Zero-custody architecture

  • Secure vaulting for sensitive KYB/KYC data

Pricing & Fees

How much does Payonite cost?

Pricing depends on usage, volume, and optional features.
We typically charge a small markup per transaction, and enterprise clients can negotiate custom rates.

Are there extra provider fees?

Yes - each connected provider has its own fee structure.
Our system automatically compares them and selects the lowest-cost route.

Do you offer enterprise pricing?

Yes. Volume-based and enterprise packages are available.
Contact Sales

Do you impose any restrictions on merchant categories?

We support all sectors and risk levels (low-medium-high), but final approval depends on passing:

  • KYC/KYB verification

  • Enhanced due-diligence (EDD) for high-risk sectors

  • Proof of business legitimacy

  • Transaction monitoring compatibility

Our goal is to enable as many legitimate businesses as possible, with transparent risk assessment.

Is there a different pricing model for high-risk sectors?

Yes. High-risk businesses typically involve:

  • Higher chargeback exposure

  • Increased fraud monitoring

  • More stringent compliance reviews

  • Dedicated account management

Because of this, high-risk verticals may have adjusted pricing, settlement cycles, and rolling reserve structures. However, we still aim to keep these extremely competitive compared to standard high-risk PSPs.
